Part of a brand new generation of low-energy small ships, this vessel is custom built for Polar expedition cruising. Boasting cutting edge and sustainable design, the Ocean Albatros offers stability and efficiency, alongside superior on-board comfort.

With the highest Polar code 6 and Ice class 1A, the Ocean Albatros is the ideal vessel for small-ship cruising due to her sturdy construction and X-Bow®-Infinity design, an inverted bow concept which provides high stability in rough weather and allows for the smoothest movements on high waves. The vessel also features 4 diesel engines and 2 electro engines, all controlled electronically to optimize speed and fuel consumption, plus a Solas 2012 classification which facilitates a safe return to port.

Other innovative features of the ship include a hydraulic observation platform, which folds out for unobstructed views. There are two sea-level Zodiac launching platforms, designed for speedy embarkation to help maximise time ashore and a separate activity launch platform, designed to provide plenty of space for those participating in activates to prepare equipment and make their way off the ship. In additional to this, the carbon footprint of the vessel is 50% lower than other traditional expedition vessels, making it one of the most environmentally friendly on the seas today.

Nearly all of the stylish and comfortable guest cabins feature private balconies, ideal for keeping an eye out for passing wildlife. There are also three lounges/ bars and two restaurants (including an observation restaurant and lounge) and plenty of outside deck space. With exceptional creature comforts and premium facilities including a lecture theatre, well-stocked library, outdoor infinity pool, two outdoor hot tubs, gym, panoramic sauna and spa with massage therapist, the Ocean Albatross is one of the highest standard, custom built Polar expedition vessels available.
