This group of 40 stylish and spacious studio apartments and houses is found on the outskirts of Akureyri, offering a great self-catering option for those spending a few days in Iceland’s second city. Found in an area renowned for its outdoor activities, including skiing in the winter, bird and whale watching in the summer and hiking and floating in geothermal pools at any time of year, this is a good choice for those who need a comfortable base while exploring the area with a little more independence.

Each of the studio apartments can accommodate up to 4 people and are ideally suited to couples and smaller families travelling together. They each come complete with a kitchenett, bathroom, TV, private veranda and entrance, free wifi and free access to the building’s laundromat, while some include a private hot tub as well.

The houses are, as is to be expected, much larger, with three bedrooms that can accommodate up to 7 people. They have a fully-equipped kitchen, TV & DVD player, a bathroom with private washer and dryer, a veranda with gas BBQ, private hot tub and free wifi.
