Three Boatshed suites are a sophisticated mix of classic and contemporary design, reminiscent of seaside cottages and lazy days on the beach. They have super-king beds and private louvre-shuttered decks opening onto the garden.

The Bridge suite is tucked away on the other side of the property. Elegantly appointed with a private traditional porch, this super-king suite looks over spectacular views of Oneroa and the Hauraki Gulf, with the boats bobbing away in the waters below.

The Lighthouse is a stunning three storey retreat capturing the romance of a traditional lighthouse. A unique hideaway with a whitewashed, timber lined bedroom with queen bed and circular stairs to the top where a private haven has glass doors open wide to sundecks and the huge panorama extending to the Hauraki Gulf and its myriad islands. There is a private dining service via a dumb waiter.

Getting there

Your on-island transfers are included with your accommodation. Staff from the hotel will meet you, at the ferry terminal if you are arriving by ferry, or at Waiheke Airfield if you are arriving by helicopter, and transfer you to The Boatshed.

Fullers Passenger Service – Take advantage of the efficient and fast ferry from Downtown Auckland – just a 35 minute trip. This service runs hourly from early morning till late evening.

Sealink – Car and Passenger ferry – Regular scheduled ferry service for vehicles and passengers. Easy drive on and drive off for guests bringing a car to the island.

Private Charter – The hotel can plan your island escape to arrive by water taxi or the grandeur of a cruise aboard the fully-restored heritage motor launch, the classic Lady Gay, other vessels are also available for larger groups coming to the island so if its for your wedding, a special occasion or a coporate function, let the hotel know and they will see what they can arrange.

Scenic helicopter flight – Flights from Auckland International Airport to Waiheke Island Airfield – just 10 minutes to Waiheke Island.

One of Auckland’s most outstanding scenic helicopter flights, taking in spectacular Hauraki Gulf with its myriad of small islands. Once home of the America’s Cup, the sparkling blue waters of the gulf are a renowned sailing, cruising and fishing seaway.
