The Manse, Maraekakaho

Introduction

The Manse is an exclusive boutique country retreat, catering for just four adults at a time and hosted by your multi-lingual hosts Dietske and Gary. Originally built in 1910, the lodge has been recently refurbished to a high specification, allowing guests to enjoy the stunning scenery from the lodge perched high on the hillside terrace overlooking the local village and nearby vineyards.

Fine dining and hospitality is order of the day at The Manse. Enjoy delectable cuisine using local produce and cooked by your host or cook your own choice of food using Gary’s expert knowledge and ingredients. The Manse is also home to a majestic cellar with a fantastic hand-picked selection of regional wines and a multitude of whiskies for you to enjoy. The beautifully appointed spacious suites have all the luxuries of a modern lodge whilst retaining authentic character through its collection of antiques.

Hawke’s Bay is nature’s playground with a vast array of experiences and opportunities for you to enjoy. Your hosts will assist, advise and even drive you to your chosen local activities. From winery tours to cultural trips or fly fishing, activities abound in this wonderful region.
