Located on the Square of Martinborough Village and within easy walking distance of the area’s boutique wineries, this wonderful colonial hotel has 16 individually designed and elegant guest rooms.

Set in a classic 1882 building, the hotel has an air of faded grandeur, with intricate ceiling plasterwork, magnificent chandeliers and aged hardwood floors.

The hotel’s restaurant, the Label Room offers modern European cuisine in a richly decorated and refined dining room that combines lush furnishing and elegant table settings. Sumptuous food is accompanied by a wide range of excellent locally produced wines, including handcrafted Martinborough Pinot Noirs and outstanding Sauvignon Blancs.

The Hotel’s famed Settlers Bar has been lovingly refurbished into a comfortable space where locals and guests alike can pull a chair up to the antique oak table or gather around one of the wine barrels in front of the cosy fire.

There are 16 individually designed rooms, each named for one of the region’s early settlers or winemakers and each has a private bathroom with TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The Heritage Verandah rooms at the top of the grand flight of stairs offer magnificent, classic surroundings, while the Garden Rooms are finished in a simple country style.
