Overlooking a lake in the midst of the Chilcotin Mountains, this remote wooden lodge offers a quintessentially Canadian escape.

From its elevated position the Tyax Lodge commands spectacular views over Tyaughton Lake to the snow-capped peaks of the South Chilcotin Mountains.

A picturesque wooden lodge, Tyax features 29 guestrooms, with forest or lake views. Some rooms also boast a balcony from which you can soak up the views of the surrounding wilderness. Guestrooms are spacious and light, decorated in keeping with the natural surroundings.

Other facilities include a large dining room with bar and lounge area, as well as an outside deck overlooking the lake. Take advantage of spa treatments or relax in the outdoor hot tub and two different saunas.

There are plenty of hiking trails on the property should you wish to stretch your legs, or try horseback riding through the forest. Mountain bikes are available to rent whilst down at the lake canoes, kayaks and paddleboards are free to use. Floatplanes offer a birdseye view of the region’s mountains and glaciers before landing on Tyaughton Lake.
