The World Explorer is a purpose-built expedition vessel with all cabins featuring a walk-out or Juliet balcony for direct ocean views.
Maximum passengers: 176
With a cruising speed of 16 knots, the World Explorer is one of the fastest moving ships operating in the polar regions, resulting in less time at sea and more time ashore. She is also environmentally friendly with a hybrid engine designed to minimise impact on the sensitive polar regions.
Communal areas include a glass-domed observation lounge, an explorer lounge, a library, a dedicated lecture theatre, a boutique shop and a spectacular dining room/restaurant.
Fitness fanatics can keep busy in the gym or on the outdoor running track, and those after some rest and recuperation can relax in the sauna, spa or heated plunge pool.
Put the camera down. No words can describe how it feels to be immersed in the intense nature of Antarctica. Take a stroll with a king penguin, watch a baby seal gang rough and tumble at your feet, and whatever you do, stop, take a breath and really feel it. It's wild.
