Introduction
A memorable experience that has guests heading out into the desert well before dawn, this is an excursion for those who want to get more than a couple of drinks out of their nights in Australia.
Revealing breathtakingly clear skies that are populated by millions of stars and constellations, a night in the Red Centre is like nothing you’ve ever experienced glancing through into a hazy city’s night sky.
Getting started early as the moon is setting but before the sun makes its glorious appearance, your guide will point out the incredible constellations and astronomical features which make the Southern Hemisphere unique.
As the hours pass and the horizon begins to glow orange and then red, turning the midnight blue night into a rainbow of colours, you will be treated to incredible views of Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta as they come alive in the morning light.
A light breakfast is served, before visiting the Mutitjulu Waterhole and Cultural Centre, where you will learn about the incredible belief systems of the local Anangu people.
