Ice Cave Tour by Snowcat

Introduction

Walk through the heart of a glacier and into the crystal world beneath. The light from your headlamp will reveal a glittering cave with fascinating formations in the frozen walls.

The guide will meet you with a big red snow-cat at your hotel, then they will drive you up onto the Longyear Glacier in the tracked all-terrain vehicle. On arrival at the glacier, you will be provided with head lamps to light your way once inside the melt water channels within the glacier – an experience that will take you breathe away.

Take your camera, and get ready to explore this beautiful world of ice as the guide takes you through the meandering chasm. Headlamps and helmets are provided. We recommend you wear solid winter shoes and waterproof outdoor clothing.
