Introduction

Fiordland is home to New Zealand’s largest national park and is a part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. Fiordland Discovery’s new luxury 5-star catamaran, the Fiordland Jewel, is the region’s first ever remote operated vehicle (ROV).*

The Fiordland Jewel offers a new and luxury boutique cruising experience. There are 9 luxury climate-controlled cabins over three decks, each with king-sized beds, ensuite facilities and majestic fiord and ocean views. Maximum capacity is 20 passengers overnight. ROV, kayak and tender excursions are available (weather permitting). An on-deck Hot-tub is also available. At the end of the day, the fresh sea air and activities you take part in will leave you hungry in more ways than one and the menu prepared by the Michelin Star chef on board the Fiordland Jewel is designed with this in mind. On board cuisine is paired with some of the best wine Central Otago has to offer, exclusively supplied by Mt Difficulty Wines.

* An ROV is an unoccupied underwater robot connected to a vessel by a series of cables. The cables transmit command and control signals between the operator and the ROV, allowing remote control of the vehicle.
