Perth and Fremantle City Explorer

4.5 hours | Year round

Introduction

On its initial discovery by Europeans in 1829 (of course, the area had been well-known to the Aboriginals for almost 40,000 years), Captain Stirling claimed that Perth was “as beautiful as anything of this kind I had ever witnessed”. To many, this is as true a statement today.

Run through with parks, gardens and restored early colonial buildings, Australia’s fourth largest city, is an absolute joy to discover.

This tour takes visitors through many of the city’s major highlights, led by guides who are eager to share their passion for their home city with visitors.

The holiday includes a visit to the King’s Park Botanical Gardens, which features 2000 species of Western Australian flora within an easily navigated 18 hectare site, and the white sands and turquoise waters of the picturesque Cottesloe Beach.

You will also journey through the old buildings and cosmopolitan cafes of historic Freemantle, the port town of Perth, before returning to the city with a cruise along the elegant Swan River.
