Hike Across Foxfonna with dogs

Introduction

Hike across the Foxfonna Glacier with fantastic views over Advent valley.

You will start the hike from Gruve 7, an active coal mine which is located about 400 metres above sea level. From here you will continue on foot over the Foxfonna glacier towards Foxdalen – as you make your way towards the opening of Foxdalen you will find some old hunters cabins where you stop for lunch. After the light meal you set off towards the stunning Advent Valley and across to Camp Barentz where the hike will end.

The hike is around 11km long.
