Witness walrus in their natural habitat on a guided boat trip to Prins Karls Forland, an island where colonies of these mighty marine mammals are often observed on the beach.
Half a century ago, when their numbers were down to as few as a couple of hundred walrus, hunting was banned. Today, colonies of the marine mammal have begun to reassemble at old gathering spots right outside Isfjorden. There is plenty of space in the boat as well as a heating system, comfortable seats, panoramic view and WC. Though you will get close enough for photos, this tour will not include landing on the beach.
