Whale Watching, Sydney

from £54

4 hours | Year round

Introduction

Heading out aboard a twenty metre long, motorised catamaran from Sydney’s aptly named Darling Harbour, the refreshing breeze will clear the cobwebs as you pass between the North and South Headlands and into the open water.

In less than thirty minutes you will be out in the deep waters that attract whales to this remarkable coast. Humpbacks and southern right whales frequent these waters, passing by on their annual migrations, but minke, orca and pilot whales can also be seen.

Common and bottlenose dolphins are also a common sight, frolicking and swimming in the tranquil waters of the Pacific Ocean. A fully qualified crew will work the ship, while knowledgeable and informative guides will keep up a commentary on whales, their migration patterns and their behaviour as you witness these intriguing giants first hand.

A comfortable vessel on which to travel, the catamaran offers multiple outside viewing areas, and indoor lounge and a license bar (at additional cost) in which to celebrate some incredible sightings. A buffet lunch will be served on board.
