Introduction

Cruise through the pristine waters of Clayoquot Sound in search of grey and humpback whales and other marine wildlife.

The rich waters of Clayoquot Sound are a popular feeding ground for numerous species, including resident populations of grey and humpback whales. Against a spectacular backdrop of inlets, islands and rainforest, you may also encounter orcas, seals, sea lions and porpoise, as well as a variety of birds such as tufted puffins and bald eagles. Your onboard guide will explain the behaviour of the wildlife you see and the importance of its surrounding habitat.

This cruise is offered on open Zodiacs and covered vessels, each carrying up to 12 passengers. Transient grey whales can be seen migrating from March to May, whilst resident groups of grey and humpback whales remain in the area from June through to November.
