Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek Day Tour, Broome

Introduction

This is a full day, small group escorted 4WD tour allowing you a taste of the spectacular Kimberley Gorge country.

Departing Broome you will travel via Derby to visit the unique and infamous Boab Prison Tree, believed to be over 1500 years old and once a natural holding cell for incarcerated convicts.  Travel along a section of the renowned Gibb River Road as you head towards the picturesque Napier Range. Over 350 million years old, these mountains are home to a diverse array of animals and plants from freshwater crocodiles to rare indigenous birdlife.

You will spend some time here admiring the huge expanse of Windjana Gorge with its walls rising over 90 metres high, before continuing on to explore Tunnel Creek, a 750 metre cave system carved through the Napier Range. Discover secret caves, bats, and hidden waterholes. As sunset approaches you will return back to Broome, concluding your day in the Kimberley.
