Online Revision Sessions
We know that unfortunately students have lost so much learning time, leaving teachers having to play catch up and rush through topics.
One of our biggest aims has always been to use our expertise to support the geography teaching community as best as possible. Therefore, we are offering live online lessons that can support teachers and students with their learning and revision. These sessions will not only provide excellent revision opportunities for students, but will also include exam question practice. The sessions will be live, allowing them to be completely interactive; meaning students (and teachers) can ask as many questions as they want.
Energy; Sustainability
Revision session aimed at Teachers and Students – Upper KS3, KS4 and KS5
This webinar will look at the Global distribution of energy consumption and supply, the reasons for increased energy consumption and strategies used to increase energy supply.
Including 3 new Case Studies: Iceland, Norway and Costa Rica and their renewable energy strategies, as well as their move to Carbon Neutral Status.
Key information will be provided as to how to answer questions effectively, as well as how to really think and write like Geographers.

Natural Hazards: Tectonic Hazards
Revision session aimed at Teachers and Students – Upper KS3, KS4 and KS5
Back by popular demand, this webinar will look at the different elements of the specification linked to the distribution of earthquakes and volcanoes, including the different plate margins and the processes that occur at each type of plate margin.
We will look at the Iceland as a case Study, discovering how local people live with, and manage the risk from tectonic hazards.
Key information will be provided as to how to answer questions effectively, as well as how to really think and write like geographers.

Topic 1 - The Challenge of Natural Hazards : Tectonic Hazards
Distribution of earthquakes, volcanoes and physical processes at plate margins.
Case Study : Iceland – Living with the risk from tectonic hazards, plus reducing the risk from tectonic hazards
During this webinar, we will look at the different elements of the specification linked to the distribution of earthquakes and volcanoes, including the different plate margins and the processes that occur at each type of plate margin. Our case study will focus on why the Icelanders live in an area of tectonic hazard and how they manage the risk associated with this.

Topic 2 - The Challenge of Resource Management : Energy Management
Global distribution of energy consumption and supply, reasons for increased energy consumption and strategies used to increase energy supply.
Case Studies: Iceland, Norway and Costa Rica renewable energy strategies and their move to Carbon Neutral Status
During this webinar, we shall focus on the key elements of the specification linked to the global distribution of energy consumption and supply. We will look at the reasons for the increase in global energy consumption and the strategies that are being used to meet this demand. Our case studies will focus on the different strategies that Iceland, Norway and Costa Rica are implementing and how they are moving towards their carbon neutral status.
When: 18th & 19th November, 8pm

Topic 3 - The Challenge of Resource Management: Water Management
Global water supply, the impact of water insecurity and how water supply can be increased.
Case Study: Mallorca : A sustainable water supply issue
We have teamed up with Richard Thompson from the Es Pla Education Centre in Mallorca for this session. During this webinar, we will focus on the key elements of the specification on how different strategies can help to create sustainable water supplies. We shall look at the management of water resources and our case study will focus on the different strategies that Mallorca is implementing to meet the demands of consumption, alongside a reduced supply.
