A bit about me…

I have always loved travel from a young age. I have a list of all the countries I would like to explore for each continent and the list is forever growing.

I am into my water sports and I’m a massive foodie so the ultimate for me is a day of wakeboarding or surfing in a new country, followed by some local food on the beach and watching the sunset.

What do you love most about your job?

That no day is the same and I get to talk about all the incredible destinations that Discover the World Education have to offer. They’re not just your standard holiday destination, they are these insane, once in a life time destinations and we get to send students there to experience it.

What drew you to the travel industry?

From starting my career in Greece as a Yacht Trainer, I knew when I returned to the UK three years later, I had to have a job in the travel industry. I wanted to share my passion for travel with others and be surrounded by like minded individuals.

What is your favourite way to spend time when travelling?

Eating my way around a country, trying as much of the local cuisine as possible. Whether that’s doing a bit of research before my trip to find the tastiest brunch spots to check out, or stumbling upon a hidden treasure along the way.

What is your most memorable travel moment?

Diving with bull sharks in the Great Blue Hole of Belize would have to be at the top. Closely followed by stilt fishing with locals in Sri Lanka and BBQing our catch that evening.

Which excursion or activity do you most recommend?

Going to see the Kerid Crater as part of the Golden Circle route. It’s a spectacular volcanic crater lake which is visually impressive both in the summer and winter months.

What is your must-pack item?

A pack of cards
