Found in the lush native bush of Stewart Island’s incomparable wilderness, guests can unwind in the peace and quiet of these 5 rooms, while the island’s restaurants, shops and main attractions are just a short walk away.

An island of tranquil beauty and the untouched home of many of New Zealand’s indigenous bird species, the silence here is only broken by the calls of the tui, fantail, kakariki and, of course, the infamously cheeky parrot, the kaka. One of the few places where kiwi can be spotted in their native environment, guests staying here are encouraged to explore the area on foot or on a nature tour.

Each room includes a private balcony or patio, a comfortable bathroom and a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. A BBQ allows guests to grill for themselves, spending long summer days cooking up a marvellous afternoon feast under the sun.
