The main lodge is a carefully restored Kauri wood villa dating from 1890 and the charm of this classic building forms both a romantic and tranquil wilderness lodge. Comfort-lovers can surrender to a massage while adventurers can join forest and beach guides to explore the magnificent area.

The superb food and wine at Waipoua Lodge incorporates the traditions of New Zealand cooking, using organic vegetables picked fresh from the kitchen garden, traditional Maori herbs and the finest New Zealand meats and sea foods. For day trips, a picnic basket can be filled including hand baked produce.
