We’re partnering with ski experts skiScandinavia to offer a some of the best skiing holidays in Sweden and Norway. We asked their passionate and knowledgeable team to share the top 5 reasons they love to ski in Scandinavia.

From living, working and even raising families in Scandinavian ski resorts, our ski experts have first-hand experience of just how welcoming, laid back and family friendly Scandinavia is.

Considered a skiing paradise by many and a haven compared to busy resorts elsewhere in Europe, Scandinavia is renowned for its great snow conditions, long ski season (which often spans from November until May), uncrowded, well-groomed pistes and world class ski instructors.

1. Accessibility

Direct flights from the UK to Scandinavian Mountains Airport are only 2.5 hours – and with very short transfer times (from between 10 – 40 minutes) to resort, it’s one of the most convenient ski areas to reach in Europe!

2. Ski Schools

Ski school is a large part of most ski holidays, especially for family skiing, so it’s important to get it right.  Ski instructors in Scandinavia are passionate about skiing and fluent in English, allowing them to communicate the small details – and even more importantly, the joy of skiing!

Our exclusive ski schools are designed by us to fit your family. They’re taught by experienced and trusted instructors, and both the adult and children’s lessons are synchronised for ultimate ease and peace of mind.

3. The Resorts

Scandinavia boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and the resorts we work with span stunning mountains and fells which also offer the very best variety of skiing in Scandinavia. There are exceptional beginner areas, beautiful blue and red runs and challenging black slopes that cater for all abilities. Typical to most Scandinavian ski resorts, the ski areas also benefit from quiet slopes and the short lift queues we all long for!

Scandinavians are known for their exceptional hospitality and the local accommodation in resort has been handpicked, tried and tested by our ski experts. It includes family friendly hotel suites and modern apartments. For your complete convenience, most of our accommodation in Scandinavia is ski-in/ski-out too.

4. Guaranteed Snow and Long Season

Scandinavian resorts are known for excellent snow conditions and long seasons which are guaranteed as early as November all the way through to May!

5. Activities

Our resorts also offer a fantastic base for groups and solo travellers alike with lots to do in resort and the surrounding ‘off piste’ area as well! Enjoy a swim, practise your bowling skills, experience the thrill of husky sledding, or marvel at the stunning snow-covered landscape on a horse sleigh ride.
