Traditional Reindeer Safari

Introduction

Reindeer convoys were the traditional way for the Sami to travel from one grazing site to another, leading their herds while being pulled by reindeer sledge.

On this safari you have the opportunity to experience this traditional means of transportation for yourself, driven by a Sami guide who drives you through the Finnish wilderness that has been their home for centuries.

With a skilled driver in the lead, you can simply sit back and relax as you enjoy the scenery that surrounds you.

A classic way to experience this area of spotless beauty, riding through thick forests and rolling wilderness, all carpeted in a thick layer of winter snow, is bound to stay with you long after your holiday ends.

During your time out, you will stop at a campfire, where hot drinks and cake (included) will warm you before reboarding your sledge for the return journey. Winter clothing included.
