Set on the shores of Lake Inari in the far north of Finnish Lapland, the stylish Wilderness Hotel Inari offers a classic winter experience coupled with comfortable accommodation and mouth-watering local cuisine. Wilderness Hotel Inari has a wonderful location by a beautiful Arctic lake in the far northern reaches of Finnish Lapland and just a few minutes from Inari village – this perfect setting combines pristine nature, breath taking views and an ideal place for aurora viewing. The wilderness resort offers exciting winter activities as well as accommodation in three different styles.

All Inclusive Itineraries

All holidays include return transfers from/to Ivalo airport; full board starting with dinner on the first day to breakfast on the departure day, accommodation in your chosen room type and winter clothing for the duration of your stay.

The order of the activities will be confirmed locally and each activity will be included once during your stay according to the itinerary.

Snowmobile Safari

The guide will teach you how to cope with these powerful machines, and after a full safety and driving lesson, you will head out to the wilderness. Snowmobiling through white winter scenery is a breath taking experience that will last for a lifetime.

Children 4-14 years will be in a sleigh pulled by a guide with snowmobile.

Husky Safari

Visit the husky farm where you will have an opportunity to learn how to mush your own team of dogs. You will be given full instruction on how to handle the sled and dogs before setting off on the trail. The experienced dogs will be keen to run. Enjoy the stunning Lapland scenery and the still silence. We will stop half way and swap mushers.

Private Meeting with Santa

Travel by sled pulled by a snowmobile to Santa’s cabin deep within the forest, where you will have some time to meet Santa and for the children to receive a small present from him.

Reindeer Farm Visit

Transfer by car to the reindeer farm to meet a local reindeer herder with his peaceful reindeer. At the reindeer farm you will learn interesting information about the reindeer and the life of a reindeer herder.

Aurora Camp

After dinner venture outside for your night of Aurora viewing*. Transfer by a sled pulled by a snowmobile to the Aurora Camp, which is situated deep in the Wilderness Forest. The camp is in a great location for viewing the lights; away from any light pollution. At the camp you will enjoy a hot drinks and pancakes before being transferred back to your hotel.

*Aurora sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Snowshoeing

Equipped with snowshoes and poles set off into the surrounding wilderness. Your guide will show you how to use your snowshoes and will lead the way on your short walk. Along the way, your guide will share interesting stories about the Finnish nature and animals.
