Immerse yourself in the winter highlights offered in the Yukon at Southern Lakes Resort, situated on the shoreline of Tagish Lake. With charming lakefront cabins nestled in trees and surrounded by breath-taking scenery, this remote lodge is ideally situated for aurora borealis sightings on those clear, starry nights!

Experience the Yukon’s unique frontier history, by learning about the lodges past as a Roadhouse during the gold rush. Enjoy fine dining and winter activities amidst the pristine natural beauty and snow-clad landscapes surrounding the resort.

Itinerary

Your trips begins with a short flight from Vancouver to Whitehorse. Upon arrival, a transfer will take you to Southern Lakes Resort, where you can enjoy the afternoon at your own leisure. A three course dinner with soft drinks is served in the evening. This area of Canada is one of the best to view the northern lights and if luck is on your side, you may spot these glorious dancing waves of light.

Enjoy two full days in the wilderness! Sit back, relax and take in the spectacular scenery from your lakeside cabin or borrow a pair of snowshoes and spend time exploring the lakeside trails. You can also choose to immerse yourself in the beautiful, remote Yukon landscape on a husky dog sled or snowmobile ride (not included). Spend your evenings watching the night-sky from your cabin or deck.

After breakfast your winter adventure ends. A transfer will return you to the airport for your flight back to Vancouver.
