Overview

Malangen Resort is situated right on the waterfront of Malangsfjord in a tranquil location with stunning views and stylish accommodation, about an hour south of Tromso.

The aurora resort of Malangen has beautiful fjord and mountain views and offers a choice of stylish accommodation in cabins, hotel rooms and apartments. There is a large restaurant with a bar serving traditional northern Norwegian food.

A wide variety of activities are on offer – during the winter months explore on snowshoes, try cross-country skiing, experience the thrill of dog sledding, whizz through the wilderness on a snowmobile or join a northern lights watch.

After an active day, relax in the large sauna (available for guests between 16.00-18.00) or it can be booked privately with the outdoor Jacuzzi at an additional charge, situated in a separate cabin just a stroll from the main hotel.

Camp Nikka is a lakeside wilderness camp just 15 minutes walk from the resort and the base for many activities. During winter the Northern Lights Watch activity is held here – sit with your guide and group in a wooden lavvu around a cosy campfire and keep a look out for the northern lights with a spectacular setting looking out over a frozen lake.
