Overview

Thorsmork (Þórsmörk), named after the Norse god Thor is regarded as “the hikers paradise” among Icelanders: with breath-taking scenery, vast landscapes, and numerous trails to follow, you will immerse yourself into the purest Icelandic nature has on offer. Thorsmork is arguably the most beautiful section of Iceland’s legendary Laugavegur hiking trail.

In this relatively small area, you will be able to cross rivers, hike mountains, walk by lava fields, contemplate the uniqueness of a glacier, and get amazing views of the area.

Staying in the same mountain hut for three nights your experienced guide will lead daily hikes of four to seven hours showing the amazing hidden gems these valleys treasure, such as the canyons, craters, and caves that only experienced locals know about.

This challenging hiking tour suits those that are physically active and have some experience of travelling in mountainous terrain with a backpack.
