Our inclusive six-night break to Swedish Lapland takes you to three wonderful locations, all offering something special for a unique holiday experience.
The first location is Brandon Lodge with a delightful setting next to the sea. It comprises 15 detached cabins dotted on the edge of the forest with views towards the Bay of Bothnia. The main lodge is just a few steps away and houses the restaurant on the first floor and a cosy lounge area with bar and fireplace on the ground floor – the perfect place to relax with a drink after a day in the fresh autumn air. And to fully unwind after the day’s activities, the lodge’s sauna is included once during your stay. Also included is a Nordic Wilderness Skills activity with lunch. Please refer to the itinerary for more details.
After Brandon Lodge you are transferred to Arctic Retreat for the next two nights. Situated in the Rane River valley, the retreat is a delightful log cabin camp with four detached cabins furnished to a high standard. The retreat is a hidden gem, literally! Tucked away in the wilderness with no light pollution interfering with any aurora activity, it’s the perfect place to relax and appreciate the natural surroundings. A Northern Lights Photography evening is included during your stay.
The last two nights are at the iconic Treehotel near the small village Harads. Set in the forest a short distance from the main guesthouse where guests check-in and are served the meals, the individual rooms are perched high in the trees, and all with a different theme including The UFO, Bird’s Nest, Blue Cone, Dragon Fly, Mirror Cube, The Cabin and The 7th Room. You can keep the same room for both nights or choose a different room each night for a different overnight experience. While here you will visit Storforsen, one of the highest white water rapids in Europe, as well as a guided forest hike with outdoor lunch.
If you enjoy outdoor adventures by day and opportunities to see the northern lights by night, but prefer not to have cold and snowy conditions then this autumn package is a fantastic choice. It includes three stunning accommodation options; full board throughout; three activities and all transfers included.

Itinerary & Accommodation
Itinerary & Accommodation
On arrival in Lulea you will be met and transferred to Brandon Lodge (journey time 45 minutes) in the Lulea Archipelago. Check-in to the cabin accommodation with time getting to know your surrounds before the evening meal in the main lodge restaurant.
After breakfast get ready to embark on your first outdoor activity – Nordic Wilderness skills with lunch. Life in Swedish Lapland is made more comfortable by learning how to dress and behave in sub-arctic conditions and the environment. The guide takes you on a 3 hour journey in to the forests on an adventurous and educational excursion. Learn how to make a fire arctic style, how to make traditional coffee over an open fire and learn about the wildlife, flora and fauna of this area. At lunch time you can help make a typical outdoor wilderness lunch and enjoy the meal around the fire with more time to ask questions or relax with a hot drink. This is a perfect introduction to your Swedish Lapland experience.
After spending time in a coastal setting, head inland by transfer (journey time 1 hour) to the Rane River valley and Arctic Retreat, your base for 2 nights. This is a wonderful location in the remote wilderness, ideal for northern lights viewings and getting close to nature. During your time here there are several outdoor activities to choose from, such as guided hiking; mountain biking; canoeing and kayaking and visiting a local Sami family.
A day spent in the wilderness, and relaxing at the retreat enjoying the facilities. Included in your stay is a Northern Lights Photography tour, heading out with a guide to the best spots for aurora sightings and learning how best to capture the lights on camera.
A change of autumn scenery takes you by included transfer (journey time 1 hour) from the Råne River to Luleå River area and home to the iconic Treehotel with its seven unique rooms suspended in the Boreal forest. Spend 2 nights here, perhaps a different room type each night! Enjoy a hearty evening meal in the cosy guesthouse and venture outside to keep watch for the magical aurora.
The area is perfect for enjoying the great outdoors. You’ll visit the impressive Storforsen, one of the highest unrestricted white-water rapids in Europe, and hike in the forests, picking berries while you appreciate the nature and silence all around. The guide prepares an open fire for hot drinks and snacks during the trip. Back at the hotel, warm up in the sauna before the evening meal is served.
After breakfast, spend your last moments enjoying the natural surroundings before a transfer back to Lulea airport for the onward flight.
