Your adventure begins with an overnight stay in thoroughly-modern Reykjavik, the world's northernmost capital city.

Days 2: Embarkation

The morning is your own time and in the afternoon you will board the vessel and begin your expedition. Get ready for a great adventure ahead!

Days 3: At sea

Cruising north across the Denmark Strait, your Expedition Team will prepare you for the adventure. Learn about the history and politics of the Arctic, the wildlife that call the area home, geology and climate. You may also see seabirds that follow the ship and potentially whales that frequent the cold waters

Days 4-5: Exploring east Greenland

Your exploration of Greenland begins with East Greenland, one of the least visited and most remote parts of the island. Your days sailing along the coast will be guided by weather and ice conditions, with each day and each excursion presenting new adventures. The region is a sight to behold, boasting a mesmerizing maze of vast glaciers, steep mountains and breath-taking fjords. One location they hope to take you to if conditions allow is Skjoldungen, where you will cruise between mountains to view glaciers deep within the fjords. The narrow part of the fjord provides an ideal place to put our Zodiacs in the water for a more in-depth exploration.

Days 6 and 7: Exploring South Greenland

Exploring Greenland’s fertile southern coast, nicknamed Arctic Patagonia, is a region rich in spectacular scenery as it is in history and culture. This is where Erik the Red gave Greenland its name, everywhere you look offers vistas of icy waters set against a backdrop of soaring mountains, clear waterfalls and lush, green valleys. Scattered around the shores of the fjord system are several small settlements, from the past and present day.

Days 8 to 13: Exploring West Greenland

Boasting spectacular glaciers, mountainous landscapes and vibrant communities, the west coast of Greenland will leave you awestruck. Each day the plan is too take Zodiac excursions to explore the bays, channels and landing sites. Discover quaint villages, cruise in some of Greenland’s most picturesque places. The west coast is home to Nuuk, the charming capital of Greenland, here you will have time to wander the streets of historic Old Nuuk and see the church and Hans Egede statue near the waterfront, the missionary who founded the settlement. Visit the national museum to see the famous Greenlandic mummies, found under a rock outcrop in 1972 by two brothers who were grouse hunting.

Day 14: Disembark in Kangerlussuaq and flight to Reykjavik, Iceland

Enjoy a final Zodiac ride to shore, where you will board your charter flight back to Reykjavik, Iceland. Upon arrival in Reykjavik you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 15: Depart Reykjavik, Iceland

Today, you can make your way home at your leisure or spend some time exploring this artistic city.
