Overview
Escape the crowded slopes of Continental Europe on this February ski adventure to Scandinavia. Timed to coincide with half term school holidays, February offers the prospect of great snow conditions. From novices to experienced skiers, the choice of slopes and tuition options available offers something for everyone in the family. Flying direct from London, choose between resorts in Norway or Sweden. Exclusive ski schools designed by skiScandinavia offer stress-free family skiing.
Trysil, Norway
Wide, empty runs, short lift queues and plenty to do on and off the slopes, Trysil is a great base for families, groups of friends, couples, and single travellers. Great skiing, both downhill and cross-country, is accompanied by a wide range of additional activities from bowling to husky sledding. You can also enjoy time relaxing in the spa.
Tuition at Trysil is top notch with English speaking ski instructors who are friendly and professional. Tailored to families, complimentary childcare is also included.
Kläppen, Sweden
Smaller than Tryril, family owned Kläppen resort is surrounded by the birch forests of the Sälen mountain range and boasts the “best snow guarantee in Sweden”. More suited to beginners and intermediate skiers, the relaxed atmosphere is ideally suited to families with well-maintained, gentle slopes. And should there be any non-skiers in the party, they can jump in the gondola to the top of the mountain. Cross-country skiing and husky sledding are also available as optional activities.
Exclusive ski schools are designed to fit your family and complimentary childcare is also included.
Getting there
Direct flights from the UK to Scandinavian Mountains Airport take just 2.5 hours and serve both resorts. Short transfers of around 40-45 minutes are included in your holiday.
