What Inspires Us

The last year has been a great one for us – we celebrated our 30th anniversary, launched a new website and introduced our exclusive self-drive travel app, iDiscover. So we were delighted when we were selected to be featured in the London Stock Exchange’s second edition of the “1000 Companies to inspire Britain”. Showcasing the UK’s most inspiring small and medium-sized companies, we were the only travel company short-listed in their Retail chapter.
This recognition is something that strongly resonates with us, as inspiration is intrinsic to creating the travel experiences we offer. So we thought we would tell you a little bit about what inspires us…
Experiences and Adventure
Hiking on glaciers, husky sledging, bear watching, meeting Inuit cultures in the High Arctic, diving between tectonic plates – the list of exciting adventures we offer is endless. It’s experiences such as these that allow us to not just visit a destination, but really get under the skin of it. Our Travel Specialists are sent on familiarisation trips so that they get first hand experience of the holidays we offer and can pass on that knowledge and enthusiasm to our clients, as well as provide useful feedback of any improvements that can be made to an itinerary. Our specialists have all made memories that will last a lifetime and are inspired to give others this opportunity to also have a fantastic break whatever their interests.

Wildlife
Wildlife encounters are another big feature of our holidays and spotting a whale or bear in its natural environment is undoubtedly a special experience. And when we’re not out and about exploring our destinations then there’s nothing we like better than sharing pictures of proud penguins, clumsy seals and posing polar bears on our Facebook page!
Nature
Whether it’s the Canadian Rockies, Icelandic waterfalls, Polar icecaps or Norwegian Fjords, stunning landscapes provide an inspiring scenic backdrop to all of our holidays. Exploring and appreciating the worlds wilderness, rainforests, lakes, mountains and beaches by rail, road, hiking or helicopter is an inspiring adventure.
The Northern Lights
We couldn’t write this blog article without including our most popular winter experience! Seeing the northern lights is a magical pursuit. Through our expertise and experience, we know the best places to increase your chances of sightings and we’re always seeking the new ways to experience this incredible phenomenon. It always excites us to hear from clients who have seen a great show of the lights and better still, shared their photos with us!
