Sandwich Harbour is part of the Namib-Naukluft National Park and is a place where giant sand dunes run straight into the ocean, creating breathtaking and unique landscapes, just waiting to be discovered!
The first stop is at Walvis Bay Lagoon to see masses of flamingos and pelicans, before driving to the Kuiseb River Delta, a dry riverbed where the odd springbok may be seen. Next you will journey to Sandwich Harbour Lagoon, stopping at scenic look-out spots en route. After a picnic lunch, the route homewards will be done testing the power of the vehicles on the dunes, the highlight being the exhilarating 45m high roaring dune.
Please note: If weather and tides allow, the vehicles will drive to Sandwich Harbour Lagoon. When this is not possible, you will need to walk 4-5km to get there. Alternatively, you will get an opportunity to see the lagoon from one of the look-out spots.
