Brandon Lodge, Sweden
Our longstanding partnership with Brandon Lodge has given us a deep appreciation of this beautiful corner of northern Sweden. By basing your Work Away break here, you’ll be able to draw on our years of experience to ensure your stay is rewarding, both for work and pleasure. Tucked into forest on the shores of the Gulf of Bothnia (the northernmost arm of the Baltic Sea), Brandon Lodge has a main log building with restaurant and lounge, plus 15 separate two-bedroom cabins scattered among the trees. Self-catering (1 Apr-30 Nov) and catered options are available, while onsite activities range from summer kayaking to winter husky sledding.

How to spend your time off in Swedish Lapland

Around 85km north of the Arctic Circle, Ruka is one of Finland’s top winter resorts, but it’s just as appealing during summer when the forest-covered fells and flawless lakes offer a peaceful, back-to-nature escape. Located a few kilometres from the resort, our Work Away properties consist of luxurious log cabins with panoramic windows and skylights for optimum stargazing and aurora viewing during winter, or midnight sun appreciation in summer. How to spend your time off in Finnish Lapland

If you would prefer to be closer to the Lofoten Island’s main port of Svolvaer (but still enjoying spectacular views), this collection of 33 waterside cabins is the perfect alternative to Lofoten Links Lodges. Each rorbuer is a traditional fisherman’s cabin, modernised to create comfortable, even luxurious, accommodation, without losing their fascinating heritage. All come with kitchens, bathrooms and cosy living areas where you can work with the sea just outside your window. As well as having all the amenities of Svolvaer close at hand, you can easily join boat trips or set out on your own self-drive exploration.

How to spend your time off around Lofoten

Lofoten Links is one of the few courses in the world where you can play golf under the midnight sun from late May until the end of July.

The aurora borealis, meanwhile, can be seen from September to early April.
